I am using four Iiyama Vision Master Pro 17 monitors, with two Appian cards, which I've used for two years for trouble free.

The 19" Iiyama Pro 450 has been raved everywhere. The 21" is as great, but not as hot.

If I could do again, I would do as described in the previous post.

Perhaps a new machine in June would have all that. I might sell the old machine and monitors.

17" Monitors

I'm out looking to buy 4, 17" monitors.

Prices are from "PriceWatch"
pricewatch.com

Last years PC Magazine editors choice 1997:
zdnet.com

Samsung Syncmaster 700b = $399
Sony Multiscan 200SX = $539
Iiyama VisionMaster Pro - high end graphics -(mitsubishi dimatron)
(1600x1200 72 hz, .25) = $529

Honorable Mention (and mentioned here by NetWorm)
Acer view 76c = $335

Here is what I've come up with for alternatives at a cheaper price:
CTX 1785: A mitsubishi dimatron tube (1600x1200 68hz, .25) = $339
Acer View 78ie (1600x1200 68hz, .26) = $345

For bang for the buck, I'm trying to decide between the
CTX and Acer. Any suggestions? Is their another monitor I
should also consider?

I may buy two high end monitors and two bang for the buck.
High end = Sony Trinitron or Iiyama. Or is the price difference
worth it?
