>just like a sales tax cost the poor more than the rich in % terms
>of their monies.

this is a totally bogus argument. EVERYTHING costs the poor more than than the rich. A loaf of bread, a car, whatever.

people dont seem to mind taxing wealthy people at a higher rate, so why not just extend this liberal thinking and charge wealthy people 10 dollars for a loaf of bread? Have a seperate price system so that everything costs the same percentage of total wealth for everyone. For example, let's charge bill gates 5 million dollars for a pizza and beer. That would be about the same percentage based on net worth as the average citizen pays. Isn't that fair?

you see, liberal logic falls apart quickly when exposed in black and white.
