I am not too worried about Soundview... especially with CYA stmt like the following...

"We think that Cisco's product will be good enough for about 80% of their customers.

Bay's difficulties are to be expected: the networking market is growing only at about 25-35% currently and until the carrier market opens up wide every body will have to fight against Cisco. We believe that Bay, by year-end will have a very strong product portfolio, equivalent only to Cisco's.
That's why we strongly believe that companies like Lucent, Northern Telecom, Alcatel, Siemens, Ericsson, Nokia, Fujitsu and others will be starving for product and sales expertise in data networking making BAY the most attractive property along with Ascend."

Well, that's a bummer of a report. Unfortunately, Soundview carries some weight in tech stocks. Thanks for sharing it, however. I guess the CSCO gorilla has successfully scared the customers.

Bayhead: Looks like Soundview did not get buy into Bay's previous announcements. So once again we are left hanging in thin air.

On one side we have had the $40+ bulls and now a Bear Camp just beginning its membership campaign. This can be quite ugly if the market has a sudden downturn.
