StockMan- You are an AMD bear?, right?? I've been struggling with why
a 20% dilution of equity has been perceived as positive for us
AMD stockholders. This is essentially a debt for equity swap, since the vast majority of the proceeds will be used to roll debt. I felt Scott Allen's statement was a positive for current shareholders, not a negative as you infer. Of course I'm of the opinion AMD's ongoing margins will be better than simple interest. I realize you have a diferent opinion in this regard. The statement would indicate AMD does not have to do massive dilution to raise funds. Just can't find any negative in this post. How does it support your negative impression of AMD? Harve
