Apple to Acquire MacInTouch Web Site Hmmmmmm, I find this an interesting read: "Apple's welfare is what really counts, not individual customers," said Ric Ford, Editor and CEO of the MacInTouch Web Site. "Negative news hurts Apple's profits, and we just can't let that continue. MacInTouch and Apple together will filter and control the customer message to build profitability. As we approach the millenium old-style, independent journalism is irrelevant and profit is the high-order bit. We can supress Mac problem reports and withhold unannounced news to maximize revenue and hold down costs." MacInTouch sources will be migrated to the new Apple Propaganda Club at <http://www.apple.com/propaganda/> and Apple will perform a security analysis on the MacInTouch secret sources database. If Apples success continues, and hopefully it will, the market being the way it is (overbought), I wouldn't be surprised if Apple flirts with it all time highs later this year or early 1999. Hopefully, I said because it is a long, long time from now till the end of the year.
