This is what the argument in the semi-con fab industry was based, that it was too expensive to produce chips above 33 MHz at the time, look where we are now, this was less than 5 yrs. ago. Who knows maybe by the time fuel cells are economical to market they will be commoditized eventually so that they will be affordable and mass produced. Now look at INTC who has approx. 90% of the consumer mkt., they were the real true believers, they changed everything just as Ballard has a chance to. ATF can be seen as a temporary solution (max. 10 yrs) to this problem, I mean lots of technologies are being tried such as hydrogen, ethylnol etc., but Ballard has both the capital and now support to realize something better. Don't get me wrong, I think ATF will be a great investment for the medium term but its no Ballard which is what my point was in the first place.
