Well, I've listed my good trades, so here goes nothing... shorted 4,000 shares today at 37, we'll see, will trade this position if the market takes a hit, or amat shaves some...its a short term strategy, for before the earnings #'s are released, for which I would rather be long, even if only for a week or two, then neutral again, ... also sold 2,000 shares from my kids accounts, still have 3,000 in retirement accounts, but short in trading account and neutral in other accounts, except ira's and keogh's... we'll see what the next week or so brings, good luck

GM, Re: SF, my take? I'm almost ready to put everything in CDs.<g> I can't find a rational way to play this market - except short term trading. And I'm scared of that. Am still holding a chunk of cash. Heck I'm scared too! I planned to buy back in at 39 but it came a bit too quick even for my adventurous soul, so I shorted it instead at 39 3/8. I'm an amateur so what do I know? (that's my excuse <g>). It settled nicely at 38 7/8...hopefully we'll go back to the original happy range of 33-35 so I can buy back. If not... oh well, I played it wrong 'cause I'm an amateur. Regards, SF
