Why buy it from the MediaX web site for $19 when you can get it for $15.69 at this web site..

They haven't even started advertising yet and they have already dropped the price by almost 50%.. Here is an excerpt from Media X's conference call on Dec 17, 1997.

Regarding numbers, the retail of $29.95 and wholesale of $22.5 is outstanding for MXMX. They will see 30-40% net profit on this $22.5/box, which could be incredible for MXMX and in turn us.

Using those numbers, best case at 40% they made $9 per Guru sold. That means the cost of production and royalty fees equaled $13.50 per box.. Now figure that web site is selling PC Guru for $2.19 over what it costs Media X to produce the product.. So that means there is $2.19 left to split between Media X and the online store above.. Seeing those prices pretty much explains the recent drop...
