I think anything is a good short now. Look at how the market has stagnated. Japan in deep s**t. Asia dead. Profits showing up dead here. Right now the money managers are loading their customers with backpacks of high explosive stocks and aligning their own short positions.

Hey Pancho something interesting going on today, Gold & Silver stocks as well as the metals are moving up despite the declining Yen. If you look at the Yen gold ratio over the last several months, each time the Yen rallied, gold rallied, Yen declined gold declined. since the Yen is declining I think some US and perhaps money may be moving into hard asset plays to preserve capital.

One other thing I was thinking about INTC buying back 100M of their shares for about $ 7B. Q: Why not pay a dividend? A: Dividends are not paid on stock options and the only way the rich get richer is if they drain their coffers to prop up their stocks before cashing out. I bet we will see tons of buy backs when the market starts to tank, Mgt will want to preserve their share worth for as long as possible. Tick, tick, tick.

Hi Pancho,

Very good reply. It sure makes sense to me. YHOO looks like the most vulnerable one to fall fast.

I've got my pop tarts and Bud waiting for 9,000 hoping it's this week so we can move onto 10,000. It's been so long since we started talking about 9,000, must be at least 2 weeks, onward and upward. My next door neighbors wife (soccer mom) opened an account with E-Trade in January wants to be "Day trader" she bought "YAHOO" in January @ 50 says her son Mikey loves to drink it. Didn't have the hear to tell her the truth. Got my Gold stocks and got my shorts and feeling kinda poor.

When I heard YHOO's ISP commercials, I knew it would be good for another pop in the stock. YHOO is all about perception. People hear that YHOO is expanding into ISPs, and perceive that it will mean expansion of the stock's value. That doesn't mean that it's not overvalued, it is, but the higher it goes, the farther it will fall. Just wish I knew when (as I'm sure you do).
