I tend to doubt whether he ever dropped his trousers in front of Jones. The moves he's alleged to have put on Willey--the kiss, the hand on the breast, then moving her hand to his you-know-what--seem to me the sort of thing that he might do if she seemed to be interested (or at least not uninterested). But the trousers? "Kiss it"? That's risking humiliation, and I don't think many guys would try it. Sure, I've had meetings in hotel rooms too. Nothing ever happened. But if you've got any doubts about the guy's intentions, better to stay in the lobby. I was, for example, once sent a note by a man in a restaurant. It informed me that he was a film director, and would I be interested in a role in his current production? If so, would I please come to the Jolly Hotel on the following Tuesday, at I forget what hour, early evening, I think, Room XXXX. I had a good laugh and of course didn't go. I did save the note, though, it's a hoot. Then there was the time the pimp... But enough...
