"Lying under oath is not so complex a matter. It is ALWAYS WRONG no ifs and or buts and should be punished severely."
Then Oliver North should have been punished severely for lying to Congress under oath, even if it was over a "policy disagreement", as you said?

"I am being totally ingenuous, and not the least bit hyperbolic when I say that if this President has lied under oath, and gets away with it, he is jeopardizing the very foundations of this country."
If you actually mean the word "ingenuous" here (I can't tell--Websters says it means "showing innocent or childlike simplicity and candidness"), then please ignore the comment below:
Presidents have routinely lied to everyone throughout US history over matters far more consequential than this, and somehow the Republic has continued. That is NOT to say that it is or has always right--occasionally it may have even been justifiable in some way. But to get into a tizzy over this issue implies something other than sound judgment. (But one could say the same for me posting on this thread.)
