>>>PLEASE MAKE THEM EAT THEIR WORDS<<<

Count on it.... as for diversification.... it will be happening more and more.... do you think companies like British Airways, Aer Lingus etc. might need Euro work as well? <ggg> I'm watching for acquisitions of other capabilities this year as well....

Yep... briefing.com is going to eat a big sh*t burger before this is all said and done....

You heard it here first.

JDN, ask yourself just how long an IT based company has before it must reinvent itself. What happened to WordPerfect, Lotus, Novell, MicroPro, Visicorp, etc., the giants of yesteryear? Y2K companies are no different and therefore have to be judged individually, IMO.

ALYD is singled out in the briefing.com article as one company seeking to diversify through acquisitions. I know CEO Gruder has stated this in public as early as last September. What this says to me is he has a plan for the future. Whatever people might think about him as a CEO, no one can quibble that he does have vision and the ability to see that vision through.

Of course no one really knows when, if at all, ALYD will reveal its plans for post 2000. Regardless, by the time Y2K peaks and the longtimers start considering to sell, we should all know what that vision is and whether or not we want to be a part of it.
