Hello Brooke,

I would rather only get a few hits then get too many... If I had to take one Indicator out it would be the OBV & 40 MA... It's not that I do not think it is a great indicator, it's just that I do not always make it part of my initial screen.

You are right about the exits... I have found that StochRSI (14) gives very good exits WHEN it has crossed up through 70 and then down again. It's those times when it does not make it up through 70 that you have to worry about...

Hello Brooke & All,

Take a look at IR. Put up my standard screen with the following Indicators from TOP to BOTTOM:

Dahl's Primary Trend (50sma)
Dave's New System (DNS)
InSync Index
MACD (8-17-9) Histogram
StochRSI (8-5) Andy's Special
StochRSI (14) Dave's Trigger
Price

Now, what do you see?????

ALL the above Indicators are doing what they should. StochRSI (14) has just broken UP THROUGH 30 to give us out initial buy signal. MACD (8-17-9) has also just broken UP THROUGH 0 to confirm. StochRSI (8-5) has already given it's buy and Continues to move UP, and ALL my longer term Indicators have either turned up or continue up.

I save this screen as my default screen. Now, put up another screen with my three MACD's to look like this from top to Bottom:

MACD (13-34-89) NO HISTOGRAM
MACD (12-26-9) NO HISTOGRAM
MACD (8-17-9) NO HISTOGRAM
StochRSI (8-5)
StochRSI (14)
Price

Now, is this chart saying the same thing as the first? YES! If you have your MACD's colored right you will see Red lines either crossing UP THROUGH Blue lines OR red lines getting ready to cross up through Blue lines. THAT's what I want to see on this screen.

Now for the final test. Add Parabolic SAR to Price and see what it tells us. OH yeah!!!!!!! Exactly what I want to see. Price has JUST CROSSED UP THROUGH to give me a buy signal.

Now please remember that this is the IDeal situation. There are many times when all the indicators do not fall into place like this and I have to decide if I want to BEND THE RULES a little...

Will this one go up??? NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE! I think it has a chance based on history BUT there are no guarantees in live or the Market..

Let me know if I've explained it right...
