He merely won the Cold War and his free market reforms ended the hegemony of Japan Inc. and revitalized American business. The Japanese state model hailed by liberal Dems in the 1970's and 19080's is near total collapse today according to Sony's chairman. Now, Zlot! TRY to decompress. You're not making a hell of a lotta sense here. Japan was seen as a model economy by EVERYBODY in the late '80s, not just by "liberal Dems" (SPAWN OF THE DEVIL!!). The guy you so blindly idolize also saw to it that our national debt skyrocketed, a problem we're still dealing with. And DON'T blame the "liberal Dem" Congress: it was the Republicans who pressed for vastly increased defense spending at the same time they cut taxes. Oops, what happened to government revenues? A five-year-old could have figured taht one out. And still you seem to miss Sam's point, or do we have to print it out for you? He asks: why, exactly, was Ronnie paid two million bucks to give SINGLE lackluster speech in Tokyo? Waht favor was being returned? THIS was a genuine payoff. It's yet to be demonstrated that a penny of the money donated to the Democrats ended up in the Clintons' personal pockets. If it had done, I think we'd know by now. Running a secret bank account ain't as easy as it seems.
