>>t is just plain silly--no, outrageous--to suggest that "Hoover shielded Americans from the Kennedy's transgressions."

No, definitely not, in fact the Times of London carried that in their lead editorial just about a month ago. Sorry to confuse you with reality. But then again, you want to put RFK's name on the FBI building! - a genuine outrage. Preposterous, but revealing nonetheless. IT won't happen so long as people know what the Kennedys did as opposed to their fabricated image. Amazing what money can buy an organized crime family when it changes its politics to conform with its chosen vehicle for power.

>> On the other hand, maybe I should just drop it, cause if you want to say such things, it just doesn't matter at all what the truth is.

Unlike you, I do want the truth out. Everything you and you allies do is to conceal and distort the truth. And your views do confirm your statement that the truth doesn't matter to you. Remember, it's not for nothing that in your party the biggest and best liars get the leadership roles.

Try Anthony Summers's Official and Confidential: the Secret Life of J. Edgar Hoover. Sensationalist, yes, but a hell of a read, and well-sourced. Sure, we all knew he was evil, but even so I was surprised.
