good question. most are already aware of the application. probably will have some bearing on 'factored into the current price'. IMO

Jon, If I were buying an expensive Turbopak to comply with EPA standards, I would make my purchase contingent upon EPA approval of the device. I think it would be hard for the market to factor in how many orders are out there, waiting only for EPA approval. In other words, I don't think the approval itself is the issue, but the potential orders it will bring. The news may give the stock a little bump at first, but it should get the ball rolling for the long term. Just MHO. "Tomorrow, tomorrow...You're always a day away."

Regards, Dave

News from TRBDF regarding EPA approval: (I'll take this as an approval)

Mr. Wiggins: As per your question regarding the EPA there are no remaining issues or problems regarding the imminent granting of our certification.ÿ We were given expected dates of approval by the EPA, unfortunately we have no control over delays due to government bureaucracy.ÿ As of 4/2/98, we are awaiting the last approval signature needed for EPA Urban Bus Certification; we expect to get this signature by next week.

Regards,
Karen Kleinwort
Office Manager

EPA approval did not happen "by the end of the month" as you predicted in your Detroit Diesel press release.ÿ Is there a problem?ÿ When do you now anticipate EPA approval?ÿ Would
appreciate any reply.

Thanks,ÿÿ Dave W.
