Maxwell - re: "How can Intel with all the "brain powers" and all the "quality" and all the "cash" build a SIXTH generation CPU system that is WORST than th FIFTH generation CPU system? "

You are obviously totally confused when it comes to product marketing issues.

The Celeron is TARGETED at the cheap PC market - <$999. It will be sold on PRICE - NOT PERFORMANCE!

It will be the Price/Performance Leader - read that again - Price/Performance Leader!

Intel offers a host of faster PentiumII products for the higher priced , higher performance market. Intel charges more for these CPUs.

Why would Intel SELL a FAST Pentium II Cheaper than their other Pentium II's?

Answer - they won't! That's why they have Celeron!

As for Intel's 0.25 micron process - I suppose you have been listening to Jerry Sanders babble on about continued yield problems at AMD.

You are just dumbfounded that AMD's main competitor (Intel) has transitioned to the 0.25 micron process FLAWLESSLY - just as they transitioned to the 0.35 micron process three years ago!

Naturally, you have a reason to fear this Intel manufacturing juggernaut!
