Tim, do you or anyone else on this thread know if earnings estimates have come down for CIEN? My understanding is that this FY CIEN's estimates are @$1.65...Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the info, Tim. Can you elaborate on what you mean by 16 channels of OC-192? Are they using 16 channel WDM equipment from Nortel with fiber that supports OC-192 to get 16 times the bandwidth of STS-192 (10 x 16 = 160 Gb/s)?

Ciena has no current competition from Lucent. Lucent's DWDM is vaporware. But Nortel's is not. Nortel is the real current (and future) competition to watch out for IMO. Think both CIEN and NT will do very well. Plenty of opportunity for both. LU a limping also ran in DWDM but a powerhouse elsewhere (after Nortel BTW). Chaz
