Level 3 Communications sez they're going to build out their new long-haul fiber optic network using "LEAF" fiber, which i understand is a Corning product.

Does CIEN's DWDM work over LEAF?

Lucent has had a 16 channel WDM system for a while now. The 80 channel system is vaporware but they will eventually have it ready. It may, however, be well into next year before they can ship it.

For that matter, the 96 channel Ciena system is vaporware too. You can't buy it today.
