Dear Raefon, The other way to vote against management is with one's feet. I hope you and the other posters who maintain this great, but painfully informative thread are right that the "efficient" market will catch up to us. The part of my portfolio that I tied up in TFS could have been put to much better use elsewhere increasing my positions in ORG, PARS, ABTX, CYCH, MINI, WAXS, FRND, HWLD, etc. They've done their profit-making work for sure; hope TFS will do its part soon. TFS would like us to take on faith that management is taking the right path, acting in a trustworthy manner, and that we will profit from their activity. Their recent annual report is definitely designed to encourage us to feel this way -- from the splashes of color that go from left-down to right-up (just like good price charts) across the page spreads, to the "low-high" chart on the last page that scans as arranged so that the eye sees the low of 11 5/8 in Q1 '96 and skips to the high of 26 1/2 in Q4 1997 without fully analyzing the intervening quarters. Of course, this "Pathways in Visual Communications" annual report does leave a lot to be desired. I can only speak for myself, but following an unidentifiable set of footprints in the Arizona sand shown on the front cover (especially in a part of the country known for other- worldly visitors ) doesn't really educate me much about what TFS does for a living; nor does the amount of space given over to pictures of the management and the board. I take no comfort in the *framed* portrait of the Board at the back of the report -- not even from the flamboyant Mr. Malmberg, who, besides his two-tone suit, stands out as the only member who is not hiding his hands. Nor do I take any pleasure from your comments that the only new TFS product that actually has patent protection already (LCiD) is apparently not selling as well this year as management predicted; nor in the potential for a class-action suit based on changes in ownership filings that may have had to be made and might not have been. For the time being I'll take it on "faith" that the senior members of the thread have forecast the eventual uptick in this stock price correctly. According to the annual there are only 1,166 stockholders of record. I'll use my shares to vote "NO" this year too by way of joining the thread participants' message to management. Do me a favor, though: next time you speak to the folks at TFS, ask them to look at the website for ABTX. Now there's a responsive management! Not only do they post all the current and recent analytical reports on the company, but the chairman also writes special updates to shareholders in-between quarterly reports. agribiotech.com
