Ibexx, damn man, where have you been these last few months? Thought I put a little zinger in yesterday with my low cost basis G* and you come back and tell me that you've owned it since it was a glint in Bernie's eyes. Can't I, just once, buy a stock lower than you? :)
Like to learn more about this retirement account regulatory crapola (technical term). My current dudes are Schwab and they are not hip to LEAPS in said accounts. This is a real pisser cause I launched a not insignificant bazooka when LOR was at 19 a few months back, and the screen came back and said "no tickee, no laundry" or something to that effect. As a result of Chuck protecting me from evil speculation, I figure I left about $30k on the table.
What's a poor schmuck to do? Buzz on over to X broker? Name X if you would be so kind, or tell me that the Schwabians will soon release me to my own brand of self-abuse. Mike Doyle

Ibexx,

What's your opinion of QCOM?

I get a forward P/E (1999) of about 20, and EPS growth from '98 to '99 of about 45-50%.

Do you think these numbers are reasonable? Also, do you think QCOM is well positioned for further growth relative to their competitors? Any thoughts about the quality of their management? Lastly, why the big sell-off some number of months ago?

Would appreciate your views on QCOM.

Thanks very much.

Regards,

TCG
