Paul Senior -- You are right on all counts! What can I say in my defense? Only that: 1) I am not sure my investing "method" is foolproof; 2) As a would-be "long-term" investor, I am reluctant to abandon a stock simply because the sector it's in is going through a rough spot; 3) I travel (in connection with my work) too much to be able to keep a consistent eye on my investments, and even when I am home I can't spend the time on portfolio-watching one really needs to spend on it. For all the above reasons, I have been gradually moving my money out of stocks into mutual funds. Let the pros worry about it -- that's what they do for a living. In the meantime, however, I would still like an evaluation of SCI. Any takers? Thanks. jbe
