There is nothing stopping you from opening an acct with a US firm, I know a nbr of people who have, I've been tempted, I had a chance to ask that very question of the Pres of E-Trade Can at the Financial Forum in Feb and she gave me a song and dance about how in Canada they have to offer best pricing and that costs them a 1/4 or so per trade. (I can maybe understand on the Nasdaq but I dont agree on NYSE or TSE). I'm mad at Greenline since you can only put a short trade in over the phone and they charge $55-60 for a measley 200 share trade...Scott
