But, if you have some link (or anything else) that shows the statute of limitations for sexual battery expire quicker than those for harassment I would be interested in seeing it.

Go to the Washington Post site (Special Report on the Lewinsky biz) and then search their story archive for news associated with Wright's ruling. It explains why Jones had to try to make her case as she (ineffectually) did. The point is that had she wanted to bring charges of primary sexual harrasment (assault and other nastiness) she'd three years in which to do it. She didn't. So her only recourse was to attempt to show a civil rights violation. She had to prove that her "career" was ruined because she'd turned him down (supposedly). Hence she was discriminated against because she didn't get flowers for Secretary's Day. Such bull.
