An article in the WSJ or NYT said that as of April 1 there has been 10 trillion dollars freed up by the japanese "big bang." Indivuals can now send money overseas via various investments and not have to deal with japansese firms. Up until April 1 most japanses had money in postal savings accounts where yields were around 0.5% . Japanese firms will now have foreign fims to complete with. These foreign fims will offer to the japanese everything you or I have available. Gov't bonds, gold =, time deposits, stocks, cd's etc.
