Hello Mark and all! Great debate! Some good info and opinions coming out. It has been mentioned that AFS may be << just another ng conversion co >>. I would submit that this is not the case. Please read this excerpt from a newsletter published by the International Assoc. of NG Vehicles.

<<With the heightened environmental concerns in the 1990's, it was not difficult for the proponents of NGV to add environmental superiority to the reasons for converting vehicles to natural gas. The claim was obvious given the cleaner burning qualities of natural gas compared to other available fuels. The unpleasant surprise came when converted vehicles were tested for their environmental performance and in the case of recent model years found to be more polluting than their gasoline counterpart. What was determined was that the newer, more sophisticated vehicles equipped with the obligatory electronic emissions control packages were less amenable to a successful aftermarket conversion and that in these instances, the clean burning qualities of natural gas were not being fully exploited. >>

The AFS technology works. Please remember that it is the success of the 'engine management system' that sets the AFS conversion systems ahead of the industry.

There have been conversion kits available for gasoline engines for many years. The old tech quickly fell short of the sophisticated onboard computers and emission controls in modern cars. AFS has brought the technology back up to speed. The reality is that many of the systems that AFS competes with worldwide don't reduce emissions nearly as well as the AFS Sparrow.

Diesel conversion systems have also been available for several years. They originally found their niche with engines that ran at fairly consistent rpm's. It was easy to add just the right amount of natural gas to the equation if the operating parameters of the engine did not change. It is only recently, however , that there has been success in designing systems for motor vehicles. No one was ever able to produce consistently reduced emissions with the radical changes in engine rpm while leaving the pure power of the diesel engine intact.

That is why Westport for example, experiments with very high pressure injection systems; another attempt to provide consistent results.

The AFS Eagle provides proven results. That is why they are so far ahead in so many jurisdictions. The secret is the engine management system. Alternative Fuel Systems IS different! The technology works, and its ready for sale today.

I like to invest in co's that have an edge that no one else has. AFS has many challenges ahead, but it is the best bet in this industry.

The article appears in the latest newsletter under 'information sources'. There is excellent analysis of the worldwide market for NGV's. Lots of great info.

regards, tj.

>>Personal attacks are not what SI is all about. It's about facts, education, sharing real information, courtesy, friendship and many other positive things.<<

Have you looked at the mirror lately Mark? Have you gone back and read all your postings to me? Have you read your postings to others? Have you read MY postings to others... did I attack anyone at all, irrespective of their views on this thread? Did I attack you first?

>> As I said, I do not care whether you are long or short the stock ... but I will not condone you, or anyone else for that matter making fallacious statements , and passing it off as fact. If you do not like that , too bad<<

Mark, lie down! Repeat after me:

"THIS IS A FORUM, IT IS NOT MY FORTRESS.... THIS IS A FORUM, IT IS NOT MY FORTRESS".

If that don't work, then try:

"PEOPLE ARE ENTITLED TO THEIR VIEWS... IT IS A FREE COUNTRY." This affirmation usually works after the 18th chant.

If these still don't work, then take the pill I told you to do so. It does wonders to the other side of the brain!

<<Let me say it for you again,<<

All this 24 hours guarding the thread is getting to you Mark! You're addressing the points that Sypon made. I didn't make them.

>> If this stock is all of these things - then what is your interest here other than shorting it. The same thing could be said of about 95% of the stocks on the DOW and the TSE at the moment. As I said, I do not care whether you are shorting the stock ... I appreciate contrarian views, but I will not allow statements that are misleading or wrong, go unchallenged. If that makes me a bull - then snort, snort !!!!<<

Mark, repeat after me again:

"PEOPLE ARE ENTITLED TO THEIR VIEWS..... IT IS A FREE COUNTRY..... THIS IS A FORUM.... IT IS NOT MY FORTRESS"

Since you've failed twice, you need to chant the above at least 36 times now! Don't miss a word, otherwise, it won't make you whole.

>>I have heard this "I am just concerned about less experienced and younger investors" stuff more than I care to think about. There is nothing that teaches a person better, about how a stock market
works, than putting their own money on the line, doing their own DD, and then reaping the rewards or paying the penalty for their efforts. That may sound harsh - but IMO that is the reality<<

This is what Sypon said. Again, I didn't make the statement. Perhaps you better take that pill after all!

>>Finally - if you want to continue discussions of this nature, send them to me privately .. I am sure many here are getting tired of wading through this stuff - this is not what the ATF thread is about<<

Feeling better? Can you see both sides of the coin now? Here comes the clue: I only respond badly when attacked first.

No, I don't want to have any private conversations with you! Anything that has to be said can be said in the open.
