I agree with your underlying point, that customers are naturally and rightly concerned about the financial viability of their suppliers. But I don't think they place any emphasis on a particular share price.

Even if they did, your choice of $12 ["to help bring in a couple millions more in revenues (earnings)]" is not convincing. Why would they not be more impressed still by the performance of, say, BEA? Last time I looked this was a late-20s stock with a market cap closing in on $2bn. Or Iona, which used to be "the" competitor to Visigenic, which is over $30 and rising?

In the cause-and-effect stakes, revenue is the cause, stock price the effect, not vice versa.
