To the thread:

I have just ratcheted through about 75 posts, and had to deal with a stretch of about 50 which contained, it seemed, less than half a dozen substantive posts. The rest consisted chiefly of personal bickering and nyah nah nah nah nah ("P.B. & 5N").

I have not been entirely without sin in this regard, so I am not stoning anyone.

A couple of months ago, I observed that the moon was about full and asked for a truce on the P.B. & 5N posts, beginning with the first day after the full moon. I may delude myself, but it seemed that the thread's relevance grew slightly thereafter. Perhaps it was because I asked politely. . . .

When we are going from one message to the next there is no indication of OFF TOPIC status or the poster's identity; it really doesn't advance the ball to tell us we can "skip" after we have downloaded the message.

It looks like we are about 4 days away from another full moon. Can we try again?

P2,

Re: Warning not to "count our chickens" without solid clinical data - agreed.

Re: Potential importance of Tamoxifen/Targretin synergy - agreed.

Re: Importance of a mild side effect profile (particularly, in a preventative regimen) - agreed.

Re: Wishing that Wall Street promptly recognize this as very good news - I disagree. The fact (some may disagree, but I consider it a fact) that the market is inefficient is not a problem. On the contrary, it is our single greatest asset, as self-directed investors. If it were not so, we could all simply buy index funds and save a great deal of time and energy. For this reason, I will be content to wait for Wall Street's recognition as long as necessary (as I slowly increase my position, all the while.)

Re: Tedious nonsense - agreed, in a big way.

Regards,
RB
