thread, i just got my shareholders package and annual report, and i was rather amazed by the part near the end which states that CPQ had approximately 23,000 shareholders of record! doesn't that seem unusually low, being one of the most actively traded stocks on the NYSE daily? that means that CPQ's 1.2 billion shares are in the hands of only approx. 23,000 people? wow. and is it safe to say that a significant percentage of those shareholders are CPQ employees? it seems that if you subtract the # of employee shareholders, and then the # of institutional shareholders, the rest of us are probably all here on this thread! tw
