Re: "With the market pundits calling for DJIA $10,000 odd in 1998 and the stock market currently at DJIA $9,000, I find myself pondering whether the last 11% or so is worth the risk at this juncture."

The same thought has been running through my mind lately. Back in 1996?, when Bob issued the 5,400 gift horse buying opportunity, I jumped in big-time. Likewise, when the 6,600? buying opportunity was announced I went way overboard on equities. Since that time, the market has gone up like a skyrocket. The result: I'm way overweighted in equities.

Last night I studied my portfolio with an eye toward reducing my equity exposure. Only after studying the portfolio did I realize the size of my capital gains - - HUGE! I really don't want to pay taxes on those gains this year. Hmmm, what a dilemma.

Best wishes,

I2
