Hi Fred! Excuse the question, but are you a trader?

Thanks again for the book titles. I have "The Motley Fool Investment Guide" and I appreciated it very much.

Now the two others.

A Trading Guide written by a psychiatrist is certainly worth reading. I shall order Dr Elder's book.

Jeff Cooper's book costs $100 and has 154 pages! I can get it earliest in 6 week's versus 3 days for Dr Elder's "Trading for a Living". But not the price nor the delay is the problem. Normally trading means buying and selling within some days or even the same day. I buy shares for at least 6 months for tax reasons. We must not pay taxes when we kept the stocks more than six months. On the other hand I have not the possibility to give an order on line from Europe to NY. I have the intention to make Internet trading with a broker house in NY in the future.

Cooper's book gets enthusiastic critiques (10 of 10, take a look at Amazon.com) and I am very tempted to order it. But is it useful for somebody who can only give an order with a delay of one day and uses to buy stocks for at least six months? Your opinion is welcome.

Buying stocks for at least six month I have not studied TA till now.(I think it is an approche for short term buying).

By the way, are you a trader?

I have (and read) a lot of books in French, German and English about Stock Market. The Americans are the best. Stock market culture is by far more developed in the States then in Europe. Here my favorites

"20 ways you lose money on your way to the stock market" from Scott S. Fraser
"How to make money in stocks" from William J.O'Neil (you certainly know the last one)

I have a very good feeling for CYBX for the next week, but perhaps am I psychologically too engaged with this stock. We will see.

See you later
