All he's doing is providing his view on things which, quite frankly, is much closer to reality than the other stuff posted here. I'm sure Rocky saved a lot of people a lot of money. It wasn't but a few months ago that I casually commented on what I thought was common knowledge: the poor quality of Iomega products. The response was amazing and the IOM Automated Response Team came out in full battle gear to extinguish the flames, so they thought. In fact, they might as well have been walking around with flame throwers because soon thereafter the technical media was abuzz with the same concerns. Now we know with certainty that they have been proactive in attempting to cover up this wherever and whenever it appears but that effort has backfired. The glowing reports were clearly unfounded long-speak. From the latest Business Week, not good: businessweek.com But the biggest problem of all for Iomega could be quality control...With PC prices falling to historic lows, computer makers can't risk a wave of returns just to fix a sub-$100 part. Virtually identical to comments I made about a month ago. Go figure. Installing a Zip drive is asking for trouble in the long run.
