Mike, I've been long on Microsoft since 1987 and have watched its value skyrocket. Although it closed down today by over 3 points, it has made a tremendous run year-to-date. Someone asked the question about it being overvalued, and given its current price, it probably is. But it got me to thinking, and I posted the following WHAT IF scenario on the Microsoft thread.

To me, this is one possible explanation of the current market valuations. But I also want to hedge my positions in case the end of the euphoria is near. DO you think retirement fear can be the fuel to this market?

Regards,
Bob

Sandy is the acquirer - this is Reed's exit strategy. Weill's is boots up, at his desk. Forget Welch, Buffett, Gates, Grove - Sandy is the emperor of free market capitalism. Beyond driven. Scary. Invest in him. Just don't work for him.
