Dell's move into Fibre-based storage is consistent with itsstrategy of offering standards-based products at an exceptional value, with equal-to-or-better performance, reliability, quality and features in each class of products. "Today's announcement demonstrates our commitment to providing enterprise customers with the most powerful products for their critical storage requirements," said Mike Lambert, senior vice president of Dell's Server Product Group. "We believe the CLARiiON superior Fibre Channel architecture and the division's proven record for delivering advanced storage technologies provide the ideal combination for Dell's future storage offerings."

That's all well and good, but I was looking for something a tad more substantial. I mean, from a channel standpoint, how much is Dell into the enterprise server market? If the deal was with CPQ, that would have been another matter altogether, since they dominate the server end. Is Dell trying to make a move into that space?

My current position is long June calls, so let's get this train MOVING!
