How in your mind do you explain how these very popular hitting fights between former friends and lovers are part of mankind's tendency towards goodness?

I suspect they're chosen for their willingness, or at least susceptibility. And are either paid, or are content to do anything at all just to be on TV.

What this has to do with anything that's been discussed here lately, including bug cuisine, beats me, though.

Dwight, I have never watched the Jerry Springer show, although I have read newspaper articles about how disgusting it is. Once when my daughter was changing the channel she stopped on his show for a moment, and it was repugnant to me. I asked her change the channel quickly, and also instructed her that she was not allowed to watch it, ever. I would not have that trash in my house.

I would note, however, that the population of America is overwhelmingly Christian. So I would have to assume that most of his guests are Christians, as well.

I reread my list of people I want treated kindly. I can see how you could have misunderstood, but certainly I assumed almost everyone reading the list would be Christian, and it would seem redundant to list Christians. I have said about a hundred times here at SI that most of my friends and family members are Christians, and really don't want to bore anyone by putting it in every post I write. I think you would have to be pretty meanspirited to construe from my words that I was leaving Christians out.

However, if individual Christians choose to discriminate against black or brown peoples, Jews, or homosexuals, or treat children or animals cruelly, then I would not be supportive of that particular person--but only because of his evil deeds, not his religious background.
