Alex: Go to school for the next 10 years or so and then check back in on this thread...guarantee CPQ will have moved more than a few cents by then, and you should be pleased with the results.

Hello Alex,

No one is to young to start investing. Buy good stocks like CPQ.
With a valuation of approx. 42 billion dollars plus good ranking # 4
or 5 in it's industry. I believe the merger with Digital will make it even stronger as time goes on. I may have my facts wrong so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Alex,
Compaq is currently out of favor with Wall Street. It probably won't be going up fast in the short term, but the point is that you really can't tell. If you try to wait until it looks better, most big money will have already gotten there and it will look overpriced. If you're buying for the long-term, choose a company based on fundamentals, not on whether or not it's in favor. Buy it and leave it for years.

BTW, QCOM is another stock you really should look at.
