<< Now on a fundamental basis, sure news/major fundamental changes can over-ride the technicals. If GE or someother big doggie reports bad or some other dramatic news, things will change. >> Don, I believe that you and I agree on this important point : Good TA shows its signs ahead of FA. What I mean is that, prior to news, the leaks are out to a few and the stock moves towards the direction the news will take it. TA will show this very well prior to the news release. This is true with earnings and anything else related to the stock issue, the specific industry, or the overall market. It is what makes lagging indicators like MACD and Stochastics and other oscillators so darn worthwile to follow. Please tell me if you are in agreement with this point on "Why follow TA". Getcher
