Miljenko,

-Off Topic-

Currently, I agree with you that there is not a monotherapy vs. cancer. Obviously, til one is discovered and proved effective, multitherapies will be used.

Being a scientist, how can you be so pessimistic? Look how far science has come in 20 years...a long way...20 years ago people would of laughed if someone said that an animal would be cloned before the turn of the century. If you have the ability to predict the future 20 years in advance...then U R THE MAN...,but based on your previous post I seriously doubt that option. Do you know what research projects are going on targeting cancer in both industry and academia...through out the world...I doubt it.(jmho)

Look @ some of the recent developements in the field...Onyx's E1B deleted Adenoviral vector that only replicates and destroys p53- cells, MGI Pharmaceuticals new anti-cancer drug in trials, the use of Retroviruses to deliver the HSV-tk gene, etc. There are so many potential products. With all of the money going into funding cancer research, they are bound to find a very effective treatment within the next 20 years.

I hope that this enlightens you.

Where'd He Go?

PS: Better to remain silent than remove all doubt.
