Kealoha - Re: "Didn't Nat Semi (Halla) already announce the "computer on a chip" this six months ago in the Wall Street Journal??? "

Very good memory! He did precisely that - a few days after he announced that NSM was buying Cyrix.

I saw him flaunt the exact same story on CNBC at the same time. However, Halla was much more buoyant, swaggering at the time.

That was of course BEFORE the Cyrix deal was consummated - and BEFORE the MONELY LOSSES OF CYRIX were merged into National.

Now, Halla is just regurgitating past promises and re-casting them as FUTURE promises.

Jim Goldman, a KRON TV journalist in the Bay Area interviewed Steve Tobak at NSM about the whole deal yesterday.

He was perhaps the ONLY JOUNALIST who asked for NSM to put the chip "in the palm of his hand". They didn't because it is not even designed yet!

He then reiterated that NSM was already SLIPPING THEIR SCHEDULE and said the chip/system would be ready in 18 months - not next June but 18 months away!
