Jay on the subject of Wince, I stumbled on this funny little bit of info in a semi-unrelated piece:

"Now Philips has announced that you really should have 12MB of total memory to get CE 2.0 to run well, not the 8MB the company originally said -- this is irksome to say the least," notes another early Velo buyer who purchased the 4MB upgrade, which uses the same add-on slot as the new 8MB chip. 12meg for Wince? Sheesh, isn't Windows95 supposed to run in that? Why not just run that other OS? (rhetorical question, of course. Imagine trusting your car to the integrity and uniformity of the Windows experience).

Cheers, Dan.
