AMD gets killed!!

Guess what? AMD lost its butt in the first quarter. (.39/shr) loss. What a disaster. But then again it's just another in a long string of losses for this company with no future. I guess we all know what'll happen tomorrow morning. Expect AMD to open at about 25.00 and sink from there.

There have been a number of people on this thread that have told me I'm nuts to compare what's going on now to 1991. The bottom line here is there is simply too much capacity. The supply of computers in virtually all market segments far exceeds demand and there needs to be another major shake-up in the tech industry. AMD will survive or die on k6 chip. My bet, it's pretty much over for AMD. They are simply not a long-term player. They eventually will be devoured and spit out for what they really are - a one hit wannabe. The k-6 will not save them.

P.S. but then again - if ibm waits a little longer it might be a good opportunity for ibm to buy.
