I am an engineer who owns 3 diesel vehicles (Volvo 240, Jetta, Rabbit), despise debt, hate government, and prefer reading to TV/Hollywood. How this bodes for my stock picking prowess is not good.

I feel your pain. It would have been much better to have been under-educated and to have bought AOL, YHOO, etc., just because we were familiar with the products.

Allan, we engineers are usually pretty good at picking stocks, especially losers. Our problem is that we figure it out long before the market does and short too early. We think we are days ahead when we are months ahead, but in the end we will be right. We were right on y2k stocks in 1997 and we will be right on Internet stocks eventually.
