Torben: Interesting observations. Often its personal views and experience that provide the best understanding of business trends. A friend of mine accompanied me to a computer store in 1992 or '93. He had little knowledge of computers at that time but is an investor. We were looking for soundcards. Went to a couple of stores. Business was good. He noticed many computers being wheeled out of the stores in carts by happy customers. Most of the boxes had Intel Inside logos and the computers ran on a Windows OS. I returned to my work a few days later back in India with my soundcard; he bought a bundle of Intel and Microsoft stock. I keep telling him he owes me a finders' fee.
