First call gives an average of multiple analysts' estimates. The average changes each time 1 analyst down-grades. They don't all do it on the same day, so you see this ratchetting effect. BTW I couldn't resist nibbling at my first few hundred shares of adpt today at 19.375. I'm looking at this as a long term hold with not much expectation for the short term. Hope I don't get burned. Every time I buy a beaten down tech thinking it has bottomed, it seems to gradually go down another 30-50% over a period of 6 months before recovering to my purchase price. You'd think I'd learn <g>
