Good afternoon Frank,

I can't even begin to figure out why AMD has been doing well and Intel has not. Doesn't Intel come out with some earnings soon? I bet there earnings will be better than the street expects and that the stock will go up quite a bit on better than expected earnings. You know how Intel stock is, it is either up up up or down down, down, Let's hope that the up up up comes soon.

I am glad that you are having such lovely weather. It just hailed like crazy here a few minutes ago. It was like rocks coming down.

I hope that you are having a wonderful day and do have a lovely evening.

********************************GO INTEL*******************

Warmest regards,
Margaret
:) :) :)

Frank, Re: "Yesterday when Advance Micro Devices reported earnings 10 cents lower then the stree expected
the stock moved up over a point in after hours trading. What kind of bullcrap is this. Any
other company would have gotten taken out to the wood shed and got shot."

AMD got their comeuppance today, -3 1/4, as I'm sure you know.

As I've said on the Intel thread, I take long walks with a friend during lunch hour, and one route goes by several AMD facilities. One of ours, dmf, wrote me a private message that mentioned the Intel museum, at their headquarters. I'd heard of the museum, but hadn't thought of going there yet. So, we walked over there one day two weeks ago. The museum is in the Robert Noyce building, which is one building of several on their beautiful campus. I suggest to anyone that comes out this way, to visit Intel and the museum. You know, when I got started in this business, there was a lot more security (visible) at industry buildings. The Naval shipyard I co-oped at even had guards with guns. :-[ At Intel, you walk right into the Noyce building lobby, which leads right to the museum. As I'm writing this, though, I know there must be camera surveillance, and security close by.

Great place, Intel. The employees coming and going were walking briskly, but they seemed happy and not stressed out.

Intel will rebound, as you say. They have an arsenal of new products that is darkening the sky over AMD or NSM/Cyrix, who are a joke.

Best Regards,

Tony
