The news I read also said that the LPB will fit in a bay and that the big 3 pound 11 hour battery will fit the base. I would think that if it were VLNC doing the battery, VLNC would have announced an unnamed customer, because they need the PR so bad. The only unattached LPB battery news that I can think of right now is the announcement by LITH of a letter of intent to supply batteries to a "global" laptop manufacturer. However, when a US company talks about "global" they almost always mean overseas, don't they? Also, they're partnering with an Asian company to provide packaging. I guess the puzzling known facts don't preclude LITH, especially if they want to keep the connection between them and the potential customer under tight wraps. Tight wraps are called for with LPB because the kinks are still being worked out - remember the ULBI/HP-Mitsubishi "burned hole" fiasco?
