Hi Margaret. Just returned back from my trip to NC. Lousy weather we are having today. I guess you have the same problem down your way?

I checked the posts the other day while away and wrote my message to Sonki then.

Glad to be back. You are right. You all did a bad job of holding Intel up. Well, it's doing alright today. Intel and Msft are getting together with some Web TV stuff and Msft is putting Intel's intercast on their Window's 98. Intel was up more earlier today but I guess Dell's conf.call shot it down a bit. Dell, like some others in the industry, are not particular crazy about Celeron. Dell said they would probably stand more behind the next Celeron which is coming out in the fall. But then Celeron is on the low end of PC sales and that segment is only about 1% of Dell's business. Dell is selling more on the higher end. They don't feel that this low end segment is for Dell = low profitability. But in any case I think that could have had a little influence on Intel's stock price.

M. Dell is very optimistic, as usual, on Dell. He said they will be working more on the Dell name - like in brand name gg. And it looks like it is all systems go for Dell even with this price. M. Dell thinks his stock price is cheap compared to a lot of the high priced stocks. He thinks his PE should be higher but leaves that up to the street and we know what the Street thinks about the techs.

Alright, I will have to make this my only post until late tonight. Hundreds of things to do and places to go in this lousy weather.

I will study all the news that I missed on the net. Those internet stocks blow my mind. I had some and decided to drop them while away due to their height. Hm, so much for that. But WLA and Lu did great even though WLA is losing some steam.

Once we get through this earnings season we should be able to tell better where we are standing with the techs. But no matter what, like usual, I believe the techs are where it's at.

I have been waiting for Brian's call of CPQ hitting around 18 to 20. I think I am using D2's words when I say that I would back up the U-Haul in that case. gg.

I see that there was a lot of talk on the main Intel thread that Intel could go as low as 55 if it dropped below 70. Hm, I would not like this but wow, could we do some buying then. I still think that we will all be happy campers by the year 2000 when it comes to Intel. Personally, I was hoping for that scenario this year. Oh well, shows you again that things work in mysterious ways and very seldom the way we plan.

We did have a good time in NC. We had beautiful weather the first day but then it got pretty windy. Walking on the beach was out. I also bought this Aloe Vera juice. How much of it did you drink? It says 2 to 4 oz. but it does not tell you how often a day. So I drank 4 oz. with my meals 3 times a day.
