True, it would be the same crap different pile for Quebec. I just find the whole situation entirely amusing. Our Canadian dollar has been getting killed because of Quebec. Incidentally, 1 US dollar=$1.43 Canadian. It cost me $175 bucks to join SI. Cross border shopping of Americans has been tremendous. Why not if the US buck goes so far here. I really, really, really wanted to go to Florida this winter but it was too expensive. Maybe I'll go to Montreal instead. I actually love it there and it is so different from Toronto. Had a chance to work there but I turned it down. Maybe it was a mistake as I would have enjoyed life there very much.

Last time I looked there were only 50 states but I live in the USA and am not as current on things as those who live in Italy.

Yes, Puerto Rico does have the option of statehood but why would they do such a foolish thing, they have all of the benefits and none of the burdens.
