Saju,< sell your INTC positions and wait for the market correction>

Thanks for your advice.

I did sell a couple of thousands of INTC in preparation to build a house recently.
I still have lots INTC and plan to hold as long as possible.

My guess is if you are a trader or gambler , you probably should look for other stocks than INTC. May be AMD is the one to try your luck. INTC is a stock for long term investors who track down their history of profits.

Regards,

Henry

For long term holders of Intel, selling is a bad idea! You give too much away to the tax man.

Saju, Re: >"INTC has been strong, but will move down during the correction.. Grove's stepping down also increases uncertainty with this stock."<

IMO you couldn't figure your way out of a paper bag with a K6 chip and a cooling fan!

First off NO ONE knows for sure what the future holds or what the market will do and how any given stock will react to the market as a whole.

INTC has been weak not strong. The fact that Grove's stepping down is not an uncertainty it has been announced and he is moving aside or up not down. And the stock has already reacted to that (it went up a bit that day).

Now, all of the knows have been factored into the stock. The uncertainty is what will happen with the DOJ investigation. Uncertainty causes indecision, indecision in turn causes lack of investor interest or a wait and see posture. THE UNKNOWN doesn't do anything cause no one know what that is!

What is not factored into INTC's stock price right now is that a lot of money is waiting for the best chance to get back in to this baby. ANYTHING, TA, FA, missed opportunity oh yea SHORTS COVERING can cause a tremendous surge in the stock's price. The new CEO is talking about investing in depressed markets, opportunistic future. The company has approved a huge buy back. All this sound like the closest people are not as worried as the investment community. I'm willing to bet all the unknown surprises are on the upside.

The lower it goes from here the more shares $10 Billion will take off the market. The current PE down to 18+ a better chance may come but investing is not an exact science. The risk/reward is favorable toward INTC being a success.

DONT WAIT TO BUY IT. BUY IT NOW AND WAIT!
