No need to worry - I absolutely do not eat seafood. Can't stand the stuff. But, that's personal preference. Everyone else is free to eat whatever he wants. Did your place sell ribs? Now you're talking. Actually, I find it amazing that restaurant owners feel that they have little obligation to pay their wait staff a living wage and instead, lay a guilt trip on the customer. Have you also noticed how many restuarant owners fail to declare lots of their cash business on their taxes? Ever leave a small tip due to bad service - do you think the waiter/waitress gets it? Usually not. The waiter says, "What a cheapskate" and never accepts any of the responsibility. I've even written notes on the check, with my phone number, and filled out those forms they have by the cash register. Think any restaurant manager ever called? BTW, if I did happen to not leave a tip, and a waiter insisted on the tip up front, I'd leave. And, I'd probably spend a few minutes in front, telling people not to go in, just out of spite. You are perpetuating this concept that it is somehow mandatory - and it's not. You know those tip cans on the counters in ice cream shops, coffee places, etc? What I like to do is wait until no one is looking and then take some money out. Once I got caught, but I told them I was just making change. That worked out really well - I took out 4 one dollar bills, told them I put in a five - but really didn't put in the five. Since someone brought up taxi drivers - I like to leave the door open on the passenger side when I get out. And, if it's raining, I roll down the window, too, so the back seat is all wet for the next guy. Hey Kitzi - if you read this stuff for Bob F., tell him I said hi. Any idea where Phil is? Are you in touch with Cindy?
